Personal Statement
A personal statement is required for applying to various Universities, to highlight your abilities and communicate to them why you are correct for the course. It is useful, as it allows the Universities to know information about the person without a face-to-face meeting such as an interview. This will be useful to me in my career, as I am planning on moving to University in the near future, to study Popular Music and Performance. It highlights my experience in the music industry, and what I look to doing prior to University. This will allow the Universities to judge whether or not I am suitable for the course.

CV
A CV allows a person to highlight their achievements through a document. It highlights grades such as GCSE’s, A Levels / BTEC and Degrees. It ensures the employer how suitable the person is for the job that they are applying for. It involves the persons’ experience in that field of work to further highlight how suitable that person is for the potential job. This will be useful to me, as it will help my future employer to understand more about me, and will allow them to judge me, and see if I am capable of the job.

Interview
An interview allows the employer to meet you face to face. This will happen when the employer has accepted the applications sent in, and chooses the suitable people to then take to the next step. This stage allows the employer to learn more about the potential employee, as they ask further questions that are not given on the CV. This will be useful to me after University, as I am to seek a full time job in the music industry, and will allow the employer to learn more about me and my experience in the music industry.

Audition
An Audition will be required in the practical aspect of the Music industry, and will be needed in Universities to highlight your talent. This will be done through a chosen song that the student has chosen, to further secure a place in University. This should be a challenging song to highlight the students’ abilities in order to impress the University. This can also be required for jobs, for example: joining a band, a private music tutor. This will be useful to me, as I plan on taking Music in University, and afterwards, taking part in a job that will require much practical work.

Portfolio
A Portfolio is a variety of videos that allow the University or employer to see the persons’ talent without a face to face meeting. It will highlight their abilities, and help to highlight if they are suitable for the University of job that they have applied for. This may be useful to me, as I sometimes get anxiety when meeting new people, and would highlight my abilities when confident, to prevent me from feeling nervous.

EPK
An EPK is a CV used by various music artists. It is designed to help agents, labels, venues and media see the essential information needed to understand the artist(s). This will help venues to see who will be performing at each event, and if they are able to perform in the chosen area. This allows bands and artists to tour in various places. This may be useful to me as a performer, as I aspire to tour with a band or backstage, whether it is performing or being a part of the backstage crew, such as a Roadie or Sound engineer. I may need one if I continue to perform, and take this career option further.

Social Media
Social media will allow the musician to publicly display their work on various platforms, such as Twitter, Instagram, Tik tok and more. This can be done in many ways, such as photos, videos, or written posts. It will allow the musician to gain publicity, as people will gain interest. It can also give out tour dates, which allow people to view tickets, to attend various concerts. It is a useful way to promote music, and may help me as a musician, as it will publicise my music if I pursue my career in music. It will be a useful tool to gain attention, and become a bigger artists, as things on social media can become well known within a short period of time.

Website
A website would be able to promote the artist or band, and give a various bits of information, such as tour dates, tour tickets, band members, information about the artist, merchandise, how often the band / artists tours and social media platforms that they are available on. This may be useful to me as a musician, as it will allow me to promote my music, while giving information about me as an artist, possibly including personal interests, such as education.
